I would give this jean 5 stars, but the rise is a bit lowere than expected. The leg has a nice shape, so I am keeping them. 151lbs. @ 5'10, purchased 12L

I love my current pair of demi curve straights (and my demi skinny boots too!), but the new pair I ordered in the same size weren't just a touch smaller (given that my current pair could be a touch stretched out or something)... they were so much smaller that I couldn't even get the buttons near each other. measured them against one of my old pairs and there is a 4" difference in the waist. such a bummer, I'd love to just have a go-to size for ordering levi's online!

I love the slightly higher waist and close but not skin tight fit through seat, thigh, and leg. However, they run small in the waist. The first pair I bought was a size 10 medium, and they shrunk both in waist and length. Returned them, bought a size 12 L. Much better. They shrink quite a bit in length. I'm 5'8" 130 pounds and all other Levi's are size 10 Med. apparently black are not pre-shrunk at all. Now that I have the larger size/L great pair of black jeans.

I got these jeans in my normal Levis size and they fit true, although they do stretch out less than the other types of denim. I personally prefer the classic rise to the modern rise (moderns seem to sit on an awkward place on my waist and make me feel like I have a muffin top when I have none to speak of), and wish Levis made black jeans in a classic rise. That being said, I still like the way these look and find them to be a very versatile addition to my wardrobe.

I always have issues finding a pair of jeans that will fit my waist, read and thighs. These jeans fit the bill. I love the way they hug, but don't suffocate my body. I wish they came in more colors and styles, but I'm quite pleased with these in Pitch Black.

I used the size and shape charts to determine the best jeans style for me and I was not disappointed. these jeans are a perfect fit and they are truly "pitch black," as the name implies. I can get away with wearing them to work (no jeans or casual clothes allowed). And yes, they are oh so comfortable!

I did the research and took a chance on these. And they are perfect!
The curve ID system is really cool and right on the money. I went to the Levi's outlet store here to try on different styles and sizes, just to be sure (no black ones there, though). And what many of the other reviewers said is true - the black jeans of this style do run smaller than the blue, which is great for me. In blue, 4 was too small and 6 was too big. But the 6 in black is absolutely perfect. And the length is great - I'm 5'4'' but often find that jeans aren't quite long enough to wear with heels. These look great with heels. I'll be wearing these tonight!!

I ended up ordering a second pair of these because they fit so well. I always have a difficult time finding jeans that don't gap in the back (I'm 5'3" and 130 pounds with a small waist). I've actually been trying to order these in the dark blue rinse as well but they are always sold out. The black color has held up well through warm water washing and line drying - very little fading against the new pair and they are nearly a year old. Still holding their shape well, too. I'm a fan.

Great jeans. After reading the reviews I took their advice and sized up - I usually wear 27/34 but with the black jeans I ordered a 28/32 and they fit perfect and look very good on.

So, these jeans fit really well, but the black ones are lint magnets. And the front pockets are essentially useless for anything more than a tube of chapstick. that being said, they're flattering and hold their shape fairly well. when they do start losing their shape, it's in the knees.

I normally wear Demi Curve in all my styles of Levis, but these straight leg jeans are just not the same. They are closer to a bold curve. When I ordered my usual size, they were perfect through the hips and thighs but too tight on the waist. I thought exchanging for a larger size would do the trick, but the larger size just looked like a bad pair of "mom jeans". I might try one of the Slight Curve in the straight leg jeans.

I can't say enough about the curve ID jeans. I appreciate a well-made jean that ACTUALLY fits and doesn't cost $200 plus. I have a fairly tiny waste but I am indeed a girl, and I have curves. These jeans fit perfectly and are so flattering (and apparently quite slimming since everyone asked me if I had lost weight). They don't have as much stretch as some of the blue denims, so I went with the bigger size (i am between a 27 and 28 depending on the denim). Highly recommend.
I did go to the store initially for a curveID fitting, which I found really helpful. I wouldn't have known where to start with which "curve" to pick otherwise. They were really helpful telling me what to look for in fit.

I heard in store that the black demi's might fit a bit tigher than the other washes but these fit me perfectly! I got so many complments when I wore them to work and THREE people asked me if I'd lost weight :D
Washed them twice so far (cold water) and they didnt shrink (though I line dried them and didn't use the dryer so they shouldn't!) and they are still nice and dark black. Love these jeans!

I ordered these in the same size as my favorite pair of demi curve skinny boot cut. However, these were a lot smaller! I couldn't get them over my hips. Will probably try them in a larger size since I would like to have a pair of black jeans and Levis are my favorite!

Nice jeans but roomier in the thigh area than I expected. I am used to "Slight" Curve (as opposed to Demi), so maybe that is the reason....regardless, I am still loving and loyal to my Levi's!!

I ordered this together with the skinny fit--- the skinny fit is way too skinny, but this fits just perfect. (I'm 5'3" 135lbs ish) I have the straight leg in a reg blue denim and I feel like the pitch black runs a little more snug. Great dark black colour.

I got my Demi Curve black straight leg jeans at the Levi store in San Francisco. I was measured and tried on a whole lot of jeans! The sales people at the store were very helpful... and they said that NOT all colors and styles fit the same way... that you MUST try them on. This frustrates me, because I like to SHOP on the internet... I do not always have the time to go to a Levi Store and TRY on a bunch of jeans! I really wish LEVI's would TRY to be consistent with their sizing.
That being said... I LOVE my jeans. I WISH they still made the 504 Tilted style... as they are my ALL time favorite and the pair I own is falling apart.
I like the Curve ID jeans... I do not LOVE them... but, I prefer Levi's to other brands. Just in case in helps....
I am 5'3" 110lbs, and I have the black demi straight in a size 25/ 32. They always feel quite tight when I FIRST put them on, but quickly stretch to fit me... I am not fond of TIGHT feeling jeans and these only feel that way for about the first 10 minutes... I don't think they get loose & baggy though! Just comfortable...just right.
I would like to get another pair in another color, but fear they will not fit.
