505™ Regular Fit Jeans - Medium Stonewash
Originally designed for cowboys, miners, and farmers, the first jeans were only available as shrink-to-fit and took months to break in. Then the '60s came and jeans became casual everyday wear. We introduced the 505™ regular fit—our first pre-shrunk jean with a zipper. Today it remains a solid classic that's low maintenance, well-made, and simply good looking.

I have worn 505 regular fit for many years without a single complaint. Now, all of a sudden, the regular fit has changed to straight fit and they seem to ride down over the hips, especially when bending over.
I have read many other reviews on this site stating the same problem for sometime now. It doesn't appear that Levi is making any progress in correcting this problem, so until they do, I will move on to another brand. This will be an inconvenience trying to find the best style and, maybe, the product won't change for the worse as did Levis.

I chose the 505 jeans because I have previously purchased this type and have been satisfied with them. "Not this time". First of all they do not fit properly. They are definitely not the same as my previous 505 jeans. Secondly, they are not medium stonewash. They are dark colored. Not at all like the photo in your website. I washed them in hopes of being surprised but they still feel the same but now I cannot return them. I am totally disgusted with this purchase. Never again.

My son actually wears a 29.5" waist and needs at least 34 length. They do not stock this size in stores, so need to order online. He was wearing 514s, but 30x34 was not available in the 514 style. At the outlet, I was told 505s fit just like 514s, and they were right! These jeans fit him really well. He has no waist and is about 6' tall. They fit great in the seat and front. Someone had told me Levi's run a little smaller than most other jeans, which is why I buy them. Tall & skinny boys need ALL the help they can get. Also ordered a black pair of 505s in 30x34 and they fit great too.

I buy these often, but the same belt loop always breaks on them. If more material were there to reinforce the belt loops, they would be perfect.

Only wore the jeans a few times. Serious defects in stitching. Return policy is very tedious. Will opt out of purchasing Levis in the future.

The waist size on my newest 3-pairs of Levi 505's size 38x30 are clearly not as labeled! They're at least 40x30 or even 42x30. And they're cut significantly lower than my old jeans!! What has happened to quality control at Levi Strauss? Unfortunately, I've worn them each 2 or 3 times so they're not returnable. Since they're simply too uncomfortable to wear, I will donate them to a local charitable organization and look at competitor products. After 60+ years as a Levi customer I'm very disappointed!

It would be wonderful if this item was available in size 36-33.
I am taking both pair to a seamstress this afternoon to be shortened.
I have purchased this product for many years. It used to fit perfectly but now I have a tummy and have shrunk one inch.
36-32 is not suitable.
On line ordering is wonderful: Saved me a trip and having to sort thru available stock to find what I knew I wanted!!!

I'm a 57 year old male and have been wearing levis all my life. Levis couldn't ask for a bigger fan, but for the last year or so I've noticed like many other levis owners that something has changed with the way the 505 stone wash jeans fit. For the last 35 years I've worn a 31X34. I'm still the same size nothing has changed with me, but now when I try on a 31X34 I can stuff a cat in my pants. What the heck has happened!!!???
All I can say is I hope someone from Levis with some authority gets the word and changes them back to the way they were!!!

Been wearing Levi's all my life. All of sudden they don't fit. My older pairs fit perfect so I know it's not me just getting old and fat. They are low rise and seem to fall down constantly. I can't stand it. Have about 4 pairs brand new I'm getting rid of. Maybe time to try another brand. These pants are probably ok if your under 19 or a girl.

I have had two instances lately and had to return for credit! The process to return is excellent BUT it is costing you not only $$ but the customers are frustrated with the quality and will choose other options the more this happens....I am one of those frustrated people.
In the latest buy that I made from you....the actual fit was not the same as the label! I wanted size 40 waist, it arrived with a 40 waist label, but the actual size of the jeans was 42!! This have happened twice this year! Why don't you see this and solve it??

This is not the same 505 Regular as compared to 3 years ago.
From changing the cutting such as sit below the waist & low rise, the style name was changed to Straight. Around Jan 2013, the 505 was changed from Straight to "Regular" but the cutting is still the same as last year, sit at the waist & low rise.
How can you wear a jeans with comfort when the rise is low?
My original 505 Regular (Style 005054834) with W32 sit at the wasit and has a front rise of 11.5 inches, it does not press on your thigh.
I bought a LEE Regular Fit Straight leg jean(style 20089) and overlapped with the original 505 Regular fit, cuttings are similar and the front rise is 11.2 inches.
Please bring back the original 505 Regular and the same cutting.

The 505's from previous years were heavy, didn't sit low & they had room in the seat. The were comfortable and lasted. The 505's now are thinner, very uncomfortable from sitting low & the seat is very snug and extremely uncomfortable. Why does a good product have to be changed? Why do items now always have to be geared toward the youth? I will be going to another brand from now on.

I have (and love) my 505 jeans that I bought about three years ago. I'm wearing them right now. Because they were such great jeans, I ordered another pair about a month ago. When they arrived, they were true to size, but they now seem to be made of this softer, more elastic material. I ordered jeans, not sweats. And I'm a guy. Stretchy feels like we accidently put on mom's jeans.
I also bought a pair of 501's. They feel great. NOT the same elastic material.

I bought two pairs of the EXACT same jeans - size, style, waist, etc - except in two different colors. One came as advertised, one was AT LEAST one waist size bigger. The tags said they were the same waist size, but they obviously aren't as one is snug and the other is clearly too big for me.

I have worn 505's for 50 years and the new cut does not fit. The waist is too low. I do not want to spend my time pulling up my jeans. The 501 is the only style that has Fit at Waist but it is button. I am not going to struggle trying to button my jeans. Go back to the Fit at Waist with a zipper like the 505's were in the past and I will buy them again.

What happened to my old favorite Levi's? Lost belt loops and poor fit. When you try to save money by changing the fit and removing belt loops the quality suffers!! Used to be my favorite but not any more. I'm certain others feel the same way.
