517™ Boot Cut Jeans - Black
Every cowboy needs a horse and a good pair of jeans. So in 1969, we designed a jean that would fit over stiff leather boots—the Saddleman, the original name of the 517™ boot cut. Today, we're not exactly rough-riders, but still need good jeans. Our 517™ boot cuts are durable, comfortable, and will keep you covered today as well as they did yesterday.

I'm 6'4'', weight 298 lbs, and I have a 32" waist. However, I weight-lift, which means that my quads and gluts are much bigger than average. Unfortunately, even though I have a 32" waist, I can't buy these jeans in the correct size because they'll be too tight in the thighs. So I had to buy paints with a 33" waist, which are still a little tight. My inseam is 35", but I've never seen jeans that have that measurement, so I bought 33" 36". I really wish Levi would make their jeans a little wider in the thighs, because I like everything else about them!

I've been wearing 517's for 40 years & will continue. The only downfall is that they are not being made in the USA & the fit is a little 'off' since being manufactured in other countries.

Got these for my boyfriend and was really hoping that they wouldn't be too tight due to his stocky build and muscular legs. Normally he ends up getting a size bigger just so he can walk, but he tried these on after they arrived and they fit perfectly!! True to his normal size.
Would def recommend.

These jeans look as if the came from Wal-Mart, they are cheaply made, not the size described, and poorly constructed. I have gotten better jeans from Target.
We returned them immediately. Your jeans used to be the be all end all, what happened?!

I've always worn Levis jeans and like men's styles. In 501s I always take 32/32 but with these I take a 30 waist. Hard to find black boot cut Levis in the stores so I had to buy on line and as I ordered my usual size had to send the first ones back. They are great for wearing to the office as they have a more formal look than blue jeans and go well with anything. They are great to wear with my campus boots and very comfortable although they do pick up lint and stuff. Would definitely recommend these.

It is always hard to find Black Boot cut Levi's in the stores around where i live, so to find them on line and with a discount was an extra bonus, I have been telling all my friends where to go for Black Levi's. Levi's is about all I wear

My size hasn't changed in a very long time, but these pants- well-priced and quickly delivered- were suddenly too long!
I had no time to return them and try again, as I was leaving on a trip. Nexdt time, I think I'd just go to a store to eliminate the possibility of error.

The 517 Levi's Boot Cut jean's are the best on the market! I won't buy anything else! They have the best fit next to none! When i want a pair of jeans, I pick LEVI'S!! (xxx). I just bought my grandson his first pair. Of course he had to have "skinny"! He loves them!!!

I purchased these jeans for my husband and he loves them. The lenght is perfect, his only complaint is the jeans are a little snog on his thighs. All in all they are a keeper.

I've worn men's jeans for a long time because they're not trendy. I wanted these in black to be a little dressier looking and fairly warm for colder weather. They are great -- but the weave is not like regular denim and picks up dog hair, dust, bits of dry leaves, you name it. My husband likes the other washes just fine, but he wouldn't buy black either.

I have been getting this same pair of jeans for years and they always fit great, feel great, and look great. They run true to size and fit perfectly over boots. The black stays black for a real long time without fading out.

Was a little weary ordering these as I normally order 527s. But I am very satisfied. It is a slightly different fit but not too different. I may actually end up buying more 517s from now on.

Most of my younger years I wore big bells up until some where around 1980 or so, Someone suggested that I should try 501's. So I did, For about a day and a half.didn't like 'em so i gave 'em away. Tried a pair of wranglers, didn't like 'em so I gave 'em away. Then I went to Sears and bought a pair of 517's and haven't wore any else since.And I don't plan on changing any time soon either. Love the fit, Love the style.

This pair of jeans and 517 in general to my opinion, is the best Levi`s have ever produced. they fit perfect, look fabulos and feel exquisite.
My only complaint would be: why do you guys in Levi`s not listen to customers and produce more variety of 517? how hard would it be?

I am not happy with my new 517 jeans. It isn't anything like the manufacturer description has said about the 517 jeans. I thought they were bootcut jeans but they look more like straight leg jeans and they even fit like straight leg jeans. So I'm not happy with the pair of 517 jeans I bought.
