I bought two pairs of 501's, the traditional and this pair. They are entirely different kinds of fabric.I love my traditional pair, they last awhile and feel great.
These are MUCH thinner and seem to have some kind of coating on the fabric. They feel cheap and dont break in like a normal pair of jeans.
The worst part is, the stressed area of the jeans rip, almost immediately upon wearing. The combination of the thin fabric and stressing in the creases caused the jean fabric to have the same strength as a sheet of computer paper.
Would not recommend buying this pair. Stick with the normal 501's they are fannnnnnnnnnnnnnntastic.
