I understand the complaints about these jeans, but overall I think they're great. (Haven't washed them yet, though so we'll see about shrinkage and distressing).
I love the blue/black hemp blend (though watch out, it tends to rub off before you wash it). I like the rigid finish, and the red stitching on the inseam. I'm a big fan of the taper fit too.
This fit is good for guys who have skinny legs and an ample backside. I've been steadily growing out of skinny and slim fits.
I recommend this product!

the foot of my son couldn't go thru the opening it was so narrow. had to return them

Good:
- The denim (hemp blend) and color (dark blue-black) are both awesome and unique.
- The fit (slouch-skinny) is great in concept, if not in this particular execution.

Bad:
- Zipper fly - doesn't make sense with raw denim, which stretches, whereas a zipper fly does not.
- The sizing is off - a 29 measures 15.5" across the waist laid flat, 16" with front and back waistbands aligned. Slouchy is one thing, but oversized is another.
- The leg opening on a 29 is under 6" across. I literally couldn't fit my (size 12) foot through it.

Make it a button fly and tweak the proportions so they're not so extreme (take 1/2" off the waist, add 1/2" to the leg opening), and this would be a five-star pair of jeans.
