I am 5'-4" 135. I had to get these seriously hemmed, but now they fit perfectly. The color, sheen, and quality are great. I wanted to skinner jean than I am normally used to, so this "slim" cut works great. The 511 are just to skinny for me. I will be buying more 513 in the future. Great for my bike. Make the commuter in the 513/514!

The salesperson at the store told me that I needed to be careful when wearing the jeans early on as the dye would rub off on light colored shirts, furniture, etc. I asked about washing the jeans first, and he said I could in cold water. I hand washed the jeans in cold water and a ton of dye came out. I rinsed out the soap and let the jeans air dry. They shrunk so much that they are now like ballet tights and are short on my legs. The length of the legs probably shrunk 1-2 inches. This is a significant problem and I plan to return them.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This is my first pair of Levi's selvedge jeans and I couldn't be happier (except if they were button fly, I'd be ecstatic). The fit is stylish and great.

I love The fit on these and the selvedge jean itself was so high quality.they only come in 34 inseam but thats ok just roll them up for a diffrent look,,overall a top notch jean.

I've been wearing 501's shrink to fit jeans since the dawn of time and I was ready to branch out with a new set of jeans. I looked around at other brands and couldn't find anything that felt right. I decided to revisit Levis and came across the 513's. The cut is perfect - not too loose and not too tight in the legs and waist.. The material and color are great. I feel I could wear these out to more formal events and get away with it.

I love the cut of the 513's. They are the fit of my memory of my jeans of old. Not too skinny. Not to loose. They improve the fit of the 514 by making the rise just a bit longer and the leg openings just a little smaller. (I can't help but feel that most jeans have a boot cut/bell bottom leg opening, even if they don't.) I can't believe that paid full price for the selvedge but they are great. I love the look. I'm probably an older generation then most reading this review but they are perfect for still being stylish and not being absurdly skinny for the kids.
Hard to find long clothing for my tall and thin frame. Need more sizes in longer than 32 ins.
I love em so much I ran out and bought a pair of tan pants in the 513 cut. Paid full price too. Can't believe it.

I've only had them for a week or so and have been working on breaking them in. Like the title says, I think these are a great looking pair of jeans and I think they look good on, but the comfort leaves a bit to be desired. In fairness, they are still pretty stiff but I haven't washed them yet and they also haven't stretched as much as I'm sure they will. That said, I think there are some structural issues that breaking in probably won't help. The rise in the back is simply too low and it reveals the "plumber side of me", if you catch what I'm sayin'. They are also a bit snug in the thighs and with a phone, wallet, and keys in my pocket, they feel like they're a bit twisted. I am hopeful that they'll continue to loosen up but I'm afraid I'm just going to need to either tuck in my shirts in the back or make sure that they're long enough to prevent a "tradesman reveal". I do have what might be called a bubble butt and I suspect that's part of the problem. It may be that these simply aren't the right cut for me. Anyone considering these jeans who also has a prominent backside might want to consider this advice.
