In 1964, Levi Strauss & Co. introduced a new process at its plant in Knoxville, Tennessee – giving a permanent, sharp front crease to non-denim pants. These pants are flawlessly designed to maintain their crease, wash after wash. This version features our popular 520™ Taper fit, oversized to be worn low and slouchy on the hips. Skinny on down the leg, it tapers to a super skinny leg opening.
The pants have a sharp crease like the description which I like. The color is a shade darker than the picture provided. Personally, I like 520 tapered leg over 511 because they are more fitted. The pants are comfortable and suitable for going out casually.
I am a speedskater/cyclist/design student, so finding pants that fit well is always a bit of an issue because my butt and thighs are very big compared to the rest of my body. I really like the look of skinny pants, but because I have to get a big enough waist size for them to fit up top, most skinny pants are still a bit loose around my calves and end up looking like they're slim-straight. This is the first pair of pants that really flatters my calves, and the small leg opening looks great when transitioning onto boots. Also, this particular pair is great because the fabric choice and Sta-Prest pleats make them easy to wear when dressing up for a critique, yet they are versatile enough to wear on the city steets. Overall, a very fresh, professional, and adaptable fit. (Note: a size 32 waist fits me alright for 511s, and the 31 waist on these was perfect.)
Great Pants. The thirteen inch leg opening is far smaller and way better than that of the 510 and 511. Designed oversized at the waist so if you want them to really fit you can buy a size down but it is calling it close. I did it and am still uncertain if it was the right move.
