I am 6'4", 175 lbs, pretty fit.
I bought the 33W/34L.
This denim has hemp in it, which has a certain amount of reflectivety to it, or perhaps it is justt he dye in the hemp that does...gives the jean a nice sheent. The longer fibers of hemp also make the demin less stretchy than 100% cotton denim, and also makes the demin a fair amount stiffer for longer. Wearing the jean unwashed keeps the stiffness around longer which in turn seems to make the jean wear in faster...well, at least at the stressed parts. Once it is rinse/washed in 6-12 months, the wear pattern should come out nicely and I'll have a custom look all my own.
One downside is the sizing....the 34L part. Why oh, why can't companies make pants longer than 34L with a narrow waist (yes, I know, 33W isn't truly narrow). If these came in 33W/36L, then I'd have warmer ankles, but as is, I'll wear these pants with boots or other higher rise shoe.
Oh, another thing, why a zipper? Probably to keep cost down, but zippers and unshrunk demin aren't the best marriage in the long run.

I am an athletic 5'10"/160 lbs and the 511's are just TOO tight and uncomfortable. The 513's didn't have that "lean" look I was seeking. I searched long and hard to find that hip, flattering, "skinny" fit you see on all of the models. I wanted a lean, flattering look. Then, my (always wonderful) SF store associate recommended Matchstick. WOW! If you are slender but have a bit of leg muscle you have found your "look". I love the 34 L because you can roll up the cuffs (I can't do that with 32L because I am too tall). I own 3 styles. Levi, THANKS for the perfect fit!

This pair of Matchstick jeans are rad! I am 6 foot 1 and weigh about 160. The 30x34's fit PERFECTLY! Super super stiff for the first 2 weeks of wearing them... just the way I like them to be.
I also own a pair of the sterling & kahki matchsticks; however, this pair so far is the best!
don't let this pair pass you by, get them now!!

Great Jeans all around. I have thick thighs and have always worn baggy jeans. These changed my mind when I tried them on. They are not too skinny and not too baggy. Just fitted for a clean look. I'm 5'10' 170 and after taking them to a tailor they are my favorite jeans. I have em in black, tan, denim and now mayfield. It's kinda hard to match with the mayfield but they look cool with that dark blue hue. anyway. Love these jeans.

I bought these from the SF store. Little tight at first but have loosened a little as I've worn them. They were also very stiff at first. I wish they came in a 32 length but they only come in a 34 length so if you are not into the cuffed look you might want to get them hemmed if 34 is too long. Be careful about sitting on light colored fabrics because the dye from the jeans will rub off. Also would recommend not washing them for as long as possible and hang dry them. It will help maintain the color and it will minimize the shrinking (if you are worried about shrinking). Very stylish and a very good price compared to other selvedge raw denim jeans. I'm 6'0" and 180lbs and was worried about them being too skinny like the 511 jeans. I would say they are closer to the 513 fit and they fit very well. You can wear them casually and you can dress them up. Highly recommended.

the fit is great. fills the gap between the 514 and 511. for myself, it fit true to size.

I found that these jeans are very true to look but runs a tad smaller than I intended. I am a 30/32 in most levis but ordered 31/34. For me the fit was very tight around the thigh looser through the knee and tight around the calf. Comes very rigid out of the box but will loosen and conform as you wear/wash it. Get a size larger to compensate for the shrinking.
