Nice jeans w lots of great features. The reflective tape works and lasted many washes so far (I use cold and no heat) The only thing I don't like is the extra cellphone pocket it doubles up the liner and makes it too thick on your thigh. Minor complaint.
Also if u want a looser fit, size up an inch. I have one pair a bit bigger and I don't really notice much difference they feel just a bit more like regular fit
I recommend this product!

These are great to wear as daily jeans, and ok to cycle in but there's a couple of problems.
As others have noted, the kryptonite holder is way to narrow to actually hold a lock.
The bottoms flare out just enough to rub my sprocket and get greasy, which is kind of a bummer.

Got these jeans because I commute by bike alot and thought the concept of a commuter jean was great. The fit is just plain dorky not skinny but dorky like jeans I wore as a 4th grader. The coloring is also completely different from the web site. A common problem from what I read in the reveiws of some of the other jeans. I returned them. I am not sure whether I will exchange them or just take the credit minus the shipping charge which is kinda weak! Not impressed.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The jeans fits pretty well and I like the color. I also like the special fabric they used in the jeans.
However, I cannot use the U-lock storage at all! The space for the U-lock is really small and I think it is because my waist is small (W30). If you get W30 or smaller you pretty much can't use the U-lock storage.
Moreover, the reflective tape chipped after I wore it for 2 times. I think it would last longer but nope, the reflective material comes off pretty easily.
I recommend this product!

Ordered pairs 4 and 5 1 inch bigger with winter riding in mind and was surprised at the changes. The length is at least 1 1/2 inches longer than my 3 previous pairs even though I only ordered waist size up not length. The thighs were wider and not as snug, but less stretchy then original. The crotch was more reinforced also. I know riders complained about thighs but really they are skinny jeans after all. I loved the original ones but the new ones will be good for winter riding when I want to wear tights underneath for extra warmth.

I've been wearing 511s in 34-32 almost every day for a few years. They fit great (thanks to the spandex) except I seem to need something a bit higher-waisted. Ordered Commuters in 34-32. WAY too small, and slightly short as well. Exchanged for 36-32. An inch too big, slightly too short, and definitely baggier in the thighs than 511s, not the same look. (Is that just because I'm comparing a bigger size with a smaller?) I'm taking them back, though I'd be interested to try a 35-34 if they existed. I don't know what I'm going to wear. Frustrating. WHY DON'T THEY MAKE SIZE 35? WHY IS A 34-INCH INSEAM MADE WITH A 34-INCH WAIST BUT NOT WITH A BIGGER WAIST? AREN'T BIGGER PEOPLE OFTEN TALLER? AND WHY DID THEY MAKE A NEW NOT-SO-SKINNY CUT AND GIVE IT THE SAME NAME AS THE SKINNY 511? They are not a bad product, so I'm checking off "would recommend to a friend." friends have different bodies, after all.

Loved the idea then the reality of these jeans, even though they run EXTREMELY small. Usually I wear a size 31 x 30, but these had to go up to a 34 x 30. I do like the fit and the reflective area at ankle, plus the gusseted crotch area which allows for full movement while pedaling.

The wash looks nice in person, but the jeans fit more like 514s than 511s. The indigo ones are a much lighter-weight fabric and a much slimmer fit.

I would recommend getting a size bigger than your normal size... unless you want your frank and beans on display for all to see. To each his own. Ha. Did a 30 mile commute with ease in these..
