Great jeans, but not what I expected

Wore these the other day for the first time and I'm loving them. The color is a really dark indigo. As other people have pointed out, they're not true selvedge and have a waxed coating. Perfect for fall and winter, you won't want to be wearing these in warm weather because of the finish. I normally buy 514s and was worried about the cut, but I went a size up and the fit is pretty spot on.
I recommend this product!

I am very happy that Levi's has brought back some USA manufacturing in the jeans market. I have always said that Levi's is an American icon and it would be a shame not to be able to purchase real Levi's, made in this country. Got these on the clearance price, but now that I see how well made they are I would have paid the full price. I haven't seen denim of this quality from Levi's since they shut down most of their domestic production years ago. This is a dark pair of jeans.. very dark blue, looks almost black. I wear 34x34 and they fit just like all my other 34x34 jeans do. The 511 is not my favorite style but I can wear them. I much prefer the slim straight 514 style because I think it is a much more timeless cut. Please Levi's, give us some USA made 514's!! Also don't stop offering this USA series, give those of us who want higher quality a choice.

The jeans are clearly made of higher quality craftsmanship than foreign-made levis. However, I was disappointed to see the fabric was no selvedge, and the waxy coating on the denim turns the pants into a SAUNA! I wore these on a 60 degree day and I was still swamping pretty hard---my shins were sweating! The waist is also about and inch too small, and unlike my other levis which usually take a couple hours to stretch and fit perfect, these jeans are refusing to stretch out. Very Uncomfortable. I'm pretty disappointed, but I hastily removed the tags, so that's my bad I guess.
No, I do not recommend this product.

These are a really nice pair of jeans and Worth every penny but they are not selvedge like i thought they were when i brought them so i just wanted to inform everyone of that before they make the same mistake i did.
I recommend this product!

The first time I looked at these jeans, I fell in love. I needed a dark pair of jeans for work that can also be worn when I'm out with friends. These fit the exact criteria! The color of the jeans is a dark indigo color. The stitching and material used is simply spectacular. I already have 3 other pairs of 511s and the fit is pretty much the same as any other pair -> perfect! Would highly recommend this product to anyone.
