I could not find the 514 jeans at any retail store. After being told "they don't make 'em anymore" I found them here. This is the first time I've ordered directly from Levis and I was surprised about how easy and quick the process was. I'll order again.

since i tried this style i'm buying at least one pair of each color. i don't like how they're not too tight nor loose, its just the perfect fit for me. Thanks to Levi's for making them

Yep, just bought a second pair this morning.
I normally wear a 31 in most trousers.
I have a 31 in these black jeans.
I really, really enjoy wearing these to work.
Comfortable, and they go with just about everything.
However, I guess it's the tiny bit of spandex that results in the waist in the back being just a bit bigger than I bargained for.
It still works okay with a belt.
However, today I splurged at JCP and purchased the 30 inch waist of these.
No gap in the back.
I know they'll shrink in the wash, but the tighter fit will be better.
One thing my wife does for me though, with all my Levi pants.
She takes a seam ripper and removes the leather branding on the back.
This really dreses them up!

I was surprised at the range of Levi jeans and the quality and fit, for the relatively low price, especially compared to designer jeans. I'm short, and relatively thin, so getting a good fit is difficult. Great work! It helped that I could try on other jeans -- like 509 -- in the store (which I also bought); so, on-line shopping alone is not possible for me.

very stylist!!! i wish the sticting was all black, not the blackish blue that it is. and i wish that levi's carried, and/or carried more, size 33x33. Also, levi's turns my nice butt to a no butt.

Levi jeans started it all with jeans. I always like the look but could'nt fine a proper fit in Levi jeans until the 514 slim straight. Thats all I wear are 514's now. Today Levi's has exploded with new styles in their fashion but maintain that levi look. Gotta Luv Levi's.

I've stayed away from slims for a long time. A few years ago there was a low-rise slim Levi jean (I think 597 but not sure). They were, and are, one of my favorites but the item disappeared.
I needed a black "dress jean" and these fit the bill perfectly. The tailoring at the waist and thigh area complements my shirt and tie and still allows for my footwear (which is mainly boots).

i'm over-forty and stay fit....these pants help me to look great and youthful....the slim-straight is just right for the look and feel that I'm comfortable with...skinny jeans are not for me....but these do the trick perfectly.

The item I received was the poorest quality of any product I purchased from Levi in the 50+ years I have been a loyal Levi customer. I felt the item was defective, the fit was awful and that it did not live up to the Levi standard of quality I have been used to. I was very disappointed.

The 514 is one of my favorite fits, and Levis is one of my go-to brands. I'm 6'2", my weight is between 175-183 depending on the season, and I'm slim. What I like about the fit is that is works with my body type. Bootcut is no good for tall slim men, and forget the Skinny jeans ... seriously, don't fool yourself, they look stupid on you. The 514 accentuates your features and has a classic look that will be relevant for years to come. They dress up or can be worn casually.
What I like about Levis is the look and quality. The site continues to improve as well. The fit, in my opinion, runs slightly small, especially if you'd like the option of tucking your shirt in. In other brands, I stick to 32x32 but I wear a 33x32 in the 514. It is a perfect fit. Also, be careful when caring for them. I like to wear them for a while to break in. After a few months, I soak them inside out in cold water with about a cup of white vinegar. This helps set the color and reduces fading. I never use detergent or dry my demin. Soak and hang.
