Made in the USA 501® Original Fit Jeans - Murray Hill

I had heard the US made jeans ran smaller than their foreign made counterparts. Well I ordered a pair, and what I heard was correct, they are smaller.
I liked the make of the jeans and wish Levi still offered them. But, it doesn't so I sent them back.
I recommend this product!

these jeans are awsome, i wear mine just like the picture above for that fiffties look and they nail it . they are so comfortable and the fit is exact

The jeans is well put together (sometimes you can tell when you line the stitches up for both legs and found the legs to be twisted to the sides and not straight). I wore it unwashed the first time and found it to be slightly tighter than a normal waist 32 would feel like in the hips area. After the wash the color still looks great. I believe that it will have to take several months to break-in the tightness since this is my second pair of 501 Made-in-USA jeans that fits the same way. I do not have this problem with other pairs of 501 Levi's jeans made else where that has been aged or pre-washed.

Have two pair of the Murray Hill and one pair 501 raw original. The fit is perfect, incredible and the look is the THE LOOK!
Wear a 33W but got one size larger just in case of some shrinkage. That is what a belt is for. If they shrink will not need a belt.
The Murray Hill is softer and a half grade lighter in weight than the 501 raw original which is a little higher on the hip or waist. Like the look of both. Just wish they made these jeans with a 16-inch to 16 1/2 inch bottom instead of the 17 ½ to 18 inch now,
The “skinny” is too skinny as in tight on my legs. If you buy a pair of these Made in USA 501s you will never go back to any thing else. It is not what you pay but what you get. These Made in USA Levi's are what I grew up with.

Hard and stiff to start (as you'd expect) but already starting to break in and feel fantastic.
Also they're made using less water: this is something that I'm not aware of anyone else using at Levi's scale. It's great.
The only thing missing from these jeans is organic cotton. 17% of all the pesticides in the world are used on cotton... they get in water and generally cause a bit of bother: organic cotton is better because it uses less chemicals.
If they were made of organic cotton, these would be the best jeans that anyone could make... not just the best jeans that anyone does make.
All in: a fantastic product. Made in the US. Iconic. All that. Buy it.

These are my favorite Levi's I own (and I have several pair). The craftsmanship is excellent, the selvedge denim is fantastic (a little lighter weight than my 511s), and the subtle detailing is spot on. I expect to own and love these jeans for a very long time.

Levi's, when you return the hidden rivets to the back pockets, you'll finally come "full circle" to what a true , iconic, and timeless pair of Levi's 501 jeans should be. You've lost your way since the early 70's by cheapening up near perfection, but you can fix that, and if you build them people will buy (is that a Kevin Costner Line?) No problem if you feel the need to lower the rise, and set the back pockets a little lower to make your product a little more current in style, but you need to have all the other ingredients in place if you truly want to be both different and yet "timeless'.

Love these Murray Hill 501's. Great to know they're made in the good 'ole US of A. Wish I had 10 more pairs. I would wear only Murray Hill 501's if I could.
