Good jeans, but of the four pairs I bought, one pair is a vastly different size from the other two and doesn't fit quite well. Try them all on before committing to using them.

I haven't worn black jeans in a long time but I am glad I got these. They are not just jet black all over, they have more of a textured look to them up close. Can't go wrong with 527 fit either. Not skinny jeans and not baggy jeans. Just regular boot cut jeans.

it is so insanely hard to find a medium priced BLACK pair of jeans that isn't jet black. i finally found it on this levi's website, they don't even carry it in their retail stores for some reason. i bought it, and had it hemmed, and i'm very satisfied. it's dark, and trendy, and at least for me it fits just like the description says it will (size 29x32)

I received my pair but it was the previous style of 527 Boot Cut that was not "Slim Boot Cut". That said, they still fit like it Slim Boot Cut and they fit perfect. The color was beautiful as always. Overall, I was very happy with this pair. I just wish Levi's would make a regular black pair in 527. I had to buy 517 Boot Cut to get regular black.

I am very happy with the weight and fit of the slim 527, low rise, boot cut jeans, i resently purchased. I have been looking for a true black jean and have had no luck. Levi's should offer this, I believe it would be a popular addition to their line.The tumbled black was the next best choice.

I bought two pairs of these jeans because I like the fit and tumbled black is never available at the stores that I shop. There were no deviations from other pairs that I have tried on at stores with the 527 fit and I am very pleased with my order. I got them on sale and saved a lot!

Everything was as expected except it was about 1 inch longer than my previous 527 jeans sized at 34x34. The fabric was thick and therefore too hot to wear in the summer. I wish Levis would make their size consistent.

I had high hopes for these jean but was disappointed in 2 ways. 1., they were not 2-toned stitched as they were supposed to be. I thought I was sent the wrong style but upon further inspection, it was correct but just not as described online; and 2., they fit super slim/skinny through the thighs. For some reason, the 517 Slim Fit Boot Cut jeans have a more relaxed fit than these 527 Boot Cut jeans. I guess I should have read the description of these but c'mon, that naming convention makes zero to me. If you are tall and skinny (real skinny), these should fit you ok. If you have any semblance of a thigh, move on to a different style. Overall, major disappointment.

I have a pair of these jeans in classic blue that I really like, and I wanted a pair in black. But this isn't "classic" denim, it's some kind of kinda-weird lighter cloth, more like muslin or poplin or something with a whole different feel. The density is different. I'm a little frustrated with Levis.com because they had about 10 choices (it seemed like) and none of them was "basic denim."

I think...'tumbled black' is one of classic items as 527.
It's just like pics, and maybe the same as U've ever bought 527.

After reading some of these reviews about people receiving incorrect sizes. I was extremely hesitant to buy Levi's online. Since I could not find 527's anywhere (even went to the Levi's outlet), I had no choice but to roll the dice. I bought a single pair of the 527 tumbled black.
As soon as i tried them on, I actually yelled out "yes!". They fit PERFECTLY. I have been looking for a another decent pair of slim fit boot cut jeans for almost three years now and the 527's are the only jeans that Levi's still makes that I actually like.
If you're new to 527's, they are indeed SLIMMER than 517's (which I do not like, and are the only ones I seem to find in stores nowadays) but don't worry, 527's ARE NOT SKINNY JEANS! I'm 6'1 average build and i think these jeans are very flattering for most guys who have my build. The slim fit around the thighs and the slightly flared cuffs make any guy look taller, and who doesn't want that? Also, the low rise is way more comfortable around the waist than the regular cut 517's. Also, jeans are dyed VERY dark which I like. My only complaint is that there is a bit too much room in the seat section, and I don't think I necessarily have a thin butt or anything.
Once I got the first pair, I went back and ordered two more which both fit perfectly also. So it wasn't just luck. I hope my review was thorough enough to help anyone thinking of buying these online or just in general. If Levi's discontinues these Jeans like they seem to do for every style i like, I will not be a happy camper! If you like them, get them while you can because you know how Levi's is.

I would like to buy more Levi's, but the inconsistency in the brand's styles and constant changes over the last decade have keep me out of the franchise. This pair of jeans was a perfect illustration of this. Reading through the reviews prior to purchase, I should have listened.

In the current days of skinny jeans, these are the only boot cut jeans I can find without buying designer jeans! That being said, I settled for them since I was running out of jeans. I tried on a pair in the store and ordered two pairs online in different colors. They were on sale online, but not in the store. Why that is I don't know... They fit just the same as they did in the store. However, the ones in the store had a single stitch on the inside of the top of the waist. Both of mine have a huge thick stitch that rubs against my skin and hurts after a few hours. Why would Levi think that's a good idea? So, I have to wear an undershirt tucked in or I'll be rubbed raw. I called Levi and finally got to talk to a "product specialist" who searched through some secret description she had, but Levi doesn't publish and identified which jeans have the singe stitch and which have the double stitch. Then I found out of the three styles with the single stitch they had NONE in my size. How is that?
