Made in the USA Vintage Taper - Rigid
Levi's® has been outfitting American pioneers since 1873, and our Made in the USA series honors that tradition. Woven (and dyed) in North Carolina on vintage shuttle looms that create a distinctive blue selvedge, every piece is crafted by skilled US workers and washed in LA. This jean is slouchy at the top and tapered through the leg, with five pockets and a higher rise. Roll up the hem to let the selvedge show.

I've recently caught the selvedge bug from my husband. After contemplating my choices on levi.com, I pulled the trigger on the made in USA vintage tapers. While I like my skinnies & flares, theres nothing like a good slouchy boy fit jean. I am usually a Levis 25" so I ordered 24" & 25" to compare. The 24" could not be buttoned shut, so I kept the 25". They are a bit loose at the waist, and I agree with a previous reviewer that the waist should be 1" higher. They are loose in the rear and through the thighs, gradually tapering at the ankle. Personally, I am happy with the cut, as I was after the loose look, but if you are looking for more fitted jeans, look elsewhere. I'll probably end up getting the slim fit selvedge next(w/o stretch of course).
I can't wait until they get broken in, and I will dutifully wear them for at least 6 months before first wash. I have a huge competitive streak, and I am just dying to break these babies in better than my hubs denim. After all, why should the boys have all the fun?

After reading some reviews I was fearful that the 27 I ordered would be too big. Not so; if I ordered another pair would go up a size. I had ordered the Boyfriend jeans in a 28 and they were way too big. So, not sure these sizes are consistent. I do love the button fly and the material, although I was expecting the material to be heavier. The bottoms are very tapered. Still trying to decide if I like that. I wish the rise was about an inch higher; they fit lower than it appears in the photo.They are very good quality, look like they will last a long time. Pleased overall.

Although I hesitated to buy these at first, after reading the reviews I pulled the trigger. So happy that I did. They truly are worth it! Totally vintage style but flattering for a woman! I have a small waist but curvy hips and they fit perfectly! Can't wait to see how they form to my body after multiple washings!

First of all, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase from Levi's. If you are a wearer of traditional selvage denim, these jeans run large even after a soak (I recommend you add white vinegar to the water). I wear Kohzo and you probably need to go down two sizes for the same fit. I would have liked to see a heavier weight denim - completely adequate - I'm wearing this pair extremely baggy.

These are the jeans I've been looking for, for years! I have been hunting for authentic 100% cotton selvedge denim that will wear to the shape of my body and replicate that super cool look of denim from back in the day. It's been nearly impossible to find 100% cotton jeans for women these days and the problem with selvedge I've found is that when I do find it, it's a little bit too old school in the cut and not that flattering to a woman's shape. But Levis has clearly returned to their roots and have made the ideal selvedge denim for women. These are PERFECT. They are a wee bit lower cut so the waist is below my belly button. The pockets in the back are a little bit lower in the back and very flattering. I love the button fly! I love everything about these jeans. I also bought the 100% cotton slim cut Made in the USA Levis as well and those are good too but unless your thighs are very very slim, these are going to be the better jeans for most women. The model in the picture for this jean does not do these jeans justice. I bought the slim cut first because the picture for this jean gives it a weird diaper-y look but fear not, thismodel must have thighs the size of toothpicks. These are really flattering. I can't wait to break these in and I will buy another pair once these start wearing in a bit. Thank you LEVIS for finally making COOL and SYLISH 100% cotton jeans for women. It's a premium price but worth it.

I I finally broke down and bought these for myself for Christmas, and I'm so glad I did! I did size up one size to a 27 as recommended due to the shrinkage (about 10%) that will occur with washing/drying. I thought they were a little big at first -- the waistband stuck out in the back a bit. But after washing and drying 2x, they are now absolutely perfect! Although I have to roll 'em up about 2-3 times (I'm only 5 ft. tall) they still look awesome. I think now that they have shrunken to the perfect fit, I will not dry them anymore and simply hang to dry. These are worth every penny!!

These were my first pair of raw denim after watching my boyfriend go through pair after pair. I absolutely love the whole process of breaking them in and watching them fade and fit to my shape. I normally would never spend this amount of money on a single pair of jeans, but these are great and they're a good way to start yourself on raw denim. The fit is good and the taper fit isn't as dramatic as you'd think it is. It fits me more like a slim or straight fit. I'm 5,4 110 pounds and I wear a size 25 and they fit loosely but comfortably. I haven't soaked them yet but after six months of wearing them several times a week, I think I'm going to soak them anyday now. Great buy. I'd definitely buy a second pair.

These jeans are fabulously fitted, but not too tight. The model in the picture does not do them justice. The material is super thick and feels indestructible, hopefully this will be the case. I wear holes through all of my jeans in a matter of months, and if that happens with these super spendy jeans, I will be very upset. Fingers crossed. I am 5'11" and 150 lbs and the 29 fits like a glove.

Love these jeans! They are very close to the "back in the day Levis" I wore in the 70's. 100 percent cotton and made in the USA! These however are cut a little lower around the waistline and run smaller through the legs. I would recommend ordering a size up as I did. Thank you Levis!!

Took me three sizes to get it right, but now I love these. I think they run just alittle small. These are my first pair of raw denims and I love the idea of breaking them in myself. Size wise ,they shrunk one inch and stretched back out one inch. I always read to size down with raw denim, but I am not sure I would recommend that with these. I did this and they are still a bit too tight and I am hoping they stretch out a little more. I am 5'4" and 120lbs. and the 25 is good,but snug . I think they will be just right. Love the style. They are slimmer than I thought they would be, but not quite skinny boyfriend style.
